Inspired by a painting by Australian John Brack from the 1950's

Free Motion Machining over Tyvek

I love the work of John Brack.

He painted a wonderful piece in the fifties of the hoards of office workers heading home down Collins Street in the cold Melbourne winter.

These are two only from that crowd. They  look so drawn and sombre after a repetative day in the office. The colour he chose in this painting adds to the monotonous dejavu feeling.

I have printed the image onto Tyvek, then cut around it with a soldering iron and free motion machined it onto the mustard fabric background. I've added FMM embellishing in the background to suggest the style of office buildings in the street.
